Cirque Colors: Glazed Collection Nail Polish Swatches

A picture of all 7 shades in the glazed collection.

Jelly nails have been trending all over Tik Tok recently. If you don’t know what jelly nails are, they are translucent color nails that kind of looks like the color of jello on your fingers, hence the name jelly nails. I have seen many DIY videos of people making their own jelly nail polish by pouring a few drops of opaque nail polish into a top or base coat to help sheer out the color. I personally haven’t tried that method yet, but maybe I will in the future when my base or topcoat has about 25 % of the product (I ain’t trying to waste a new product). Well, Cirque Colors has recently released their Glazed Collection which includes 6 jelly nail polish and 1 nail polish topper. Since jelly polishes are sheer and look different with every coat, I decided I write a blog post showing how the swatches of this collection would look with 1, 2, and 3 coats.

Nail Polish Swatches

a collage showing hand swatches of citron jelly, a yellow jelly polish, with 1, 2, and 3 coats of polish.

Citron Jelly is bright yellow jelly polish. To be honest, I didn’t like one coat of this shade. It looked like yellow stain fingers. I definitely prefer two or three coats of this shade.

a collage showing hand swatches of Peach Jelly, a peachy pink jelly polish, with 1, 2, and 3 coats of polish.

Peach Jelly is beautiful peachy pink jelly. This shade is one of my favorites. This shade with only 1 coat would be a perfect base color for french nails or nail art.

a collage showing hand swatches XOXO Jelly, a hot pink jelly polish, with 1, 2, and 3 coats of polish.

XOXO Jelly is a hot pink jelly. This nail polish shade is one of the brightest of the collection.

a collage showing hand swatches of Haze Jelly, a lavender pink jelly polish, with 1, 2, and 3 coats of polish.

Haze Jelly is a lavender jelly polish. With three coats of this color, it becomes one of the prettiest purples I have ever seen in my life.

a collage showing hand swatches of Berry Jelly, a berry jelly polish, with 1, 2, and 3 coats of polish.

Just like the name suggests, Berry Jelly is a beautiful purple berry jelly polish.

a collage showing hand swatches of Kelly Jelly, a green jelly polish, with 1, 2, and 3 coats of polish.

Kelly Jelly is a grass green jelly polish. For me, this shade was the hardest to work with. As you can see in the image above, it was hard to get a thin even color in one coat, but as I built the layers, the color became more even and into a beautiful green color.

a collage showing hand swatches of Spotted on top of various jelly polishes.

Although this is not a jelly polish, included in this collection, Cirque Colors has rereleased the shade Spotted. Spotted is a black speckled nail polish topper. In the photo above, I have used Spotted on top of every jelly shade in this collection. This nail polish topper is such a nice way to add some spice to a simple color without adding sparkle.

Final thoughts

a picture of the collecton

As you can see from the photos above, Cirque Colors jelly polishes are very sheer and buildable. Jelly nail polishes give you the flexibility of either having a light wash of color or beautiful translucent color. My top three favorite nail polishes from this collection are Peach Jelly, Haze Jelly, and Spotted. Overall, I loved the colors in this collection and I can’t wait to use these colors to create some nail art. Check out my Tiktok account, @tigranouhi, if you want to see what I come up with.

What are your thoughts on jelly nails? Which color is your favorite? Are you going to pick up any of these shades?
